GDF (fieled sequence module)

This new technology by Shantou Goworld Display Company allows a color display without color filter. The colors are produced by the multiplex mode of the RGB back lighting. When the changeover time between red, green and blue is faster than the inertness of the eye, you will perceive a color mixture.

 

Every pixel can produce eight different colors: red, green, blue, cyan, violet, yellow, black and white. The colors have a natural appearance with high brightness and contrast. With this technology, strong colors are produced that even surpass the NTSC standard.

 

The average power consumption of this GDF module is 40% of a conventional color module with same size and brightness. Even without backlight, you get black pixels with high contrast.
